We review books for which we receive the most requests from our readers.LaurenYargerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00709980425007243824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639396604259206494.post-21916704530440818332011-02-17T17:31:20.184-05:002011-02-17T17:31:20.184-05:00I'm actually going to respond to your comment ...I'm actually going to respond to your comment that you don't usually enjoy "Christian" fiction suggesting that you know the difference between books produced for that "targeted" market CBA serves and general market fiction written by Christian authors, like C. S. Lewis' fiction/fantasy.

Nice to see a review of a self-published general marketing Christian author. Sad to say there aren't more books like this reviewed here.Author Sue Denthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15610585940904518767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639396604259206494.post-23918030039905965512010-10-29T16:55:20.824-04:002010-10-29T16:55:20.824-04:00I have put off reading The Shack as well much like...I have put off reading The Shack as well much like the reviewer. I just finished it. I have some serious concerns as far as how God is presented and I would especially have you notice the reviewers comment that should be clearly noted and be a grave concern. She states; "Does the bible say God is a black woman and Asian woman and Jesus? No. But do I believe God might reveal himself as a woman to a hurting child..."
Who really cares what you believe, if it doesn't line up with Scripture then it should not be counted worthy of acceptance. Our personal beliefs mean nothing compared to the truth of Scripture.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04322927602249679094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4639396604259206494.post-68252144145731108352010-10-26T23:18:01.818-04:002010-10-26T23:18:01.818-04:00I have to say that "The Shack" by Willia...I have to say that "The Shack" by William P. Young was a very thought provoking read.

After reading the book, I was left pondering several things about it – which is a true testament to the book's worth. I had several questions on the validity of some of the descriptions of God but I had to humbly admit that there may be no answers this side of heaven for how God presents Himself to each individual.

I posted a more in-depth review of this book on my own blog www.tracysbooknook.com.

-Tracytracysbooknook.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05232048554372675289noreply@blogger.com
