Yale Institute of Sacred Music Offers Summer Courses

Yale Institute of Sacred Music offers weeklong summer courses in June on the Yale campus in New Haven, CT to engage the integration of music, worship, and the arts.

The courses meet for five sessions, either morning or afternoon, except for the Icon Writing Workshop, which meets all day with a break for lunch.

The Institute offers five courses: Renewing Congregational Song and Musical Skills and Vocal Development for Parish Ministry, both taught by Patrick Evans; Bach's Passions—Musical Language and Religious Contexts taught by Markus Rathey; Composition for Church Musicians taught by Dan Locklair; and Icon Writing Workshop taught by Vladislav Andrejev.

The courses are offered as part of Summer Term at Sterling Divinity Quadrangle. For more courses, complete descriptions and information, and registration, see http://sdqsummerterm.sites.yale.edu/.
