Theater Review Wins Award

Lauren Yarger, executive director of Masterwork Productions, Inc., will receive awards tonight from the Connecticut Press Club.

Her review of Broadway's Driving Miss Daisy posted at http://reflectionsinthelight.blogspot.com/ has received a second-place award for web criticism. Yarger, a member of The Drama Desk, The Outer Critics Circle and the American Theater Critics Association, writes reviews of Broadway and New York theater for the site, which is the only source of reviews with added information for Christian perspective.

In addition, she will receive a first-place award for editing for the web for the site Connecticut Arts Connection (http://ctarts.blogspot.org/) which she also edits. It contains news and features about Connecticut arts and Yarger's reviews of Connecticut's professional theater productions.

The 10th annual awards banquet will be held in Norwalk. TV news exec Al Primo, credited with creating the Eyewitness News format, will receive the Mark Twain Award of Excellence.
